Dear Sheraton Hotel

Gone is the card on the pillow
boasting good stewardship
of the world’s resources.

Gone the request to re-use towels,
to leave them in the tub
when we want them replaced.

Gone any reminder to turn off lights
when we leave.

New towels appear each day and a light
is routinely left on each time the room is cleaned.

The evacuation route on the door
shows the way out in case of emergency,
but not how to find the space ship.
